ED Visit for Sam

Sam had an unexpected visit to the Emergency Department back in the beginning of May.  He was on his way up the stairs to hot lunch in the school building, probably going a little too fast, when another student (who was also probably going a little fast) fell into Sam, pushing Sam into the corner of the wall, where his head collided with the wall.  He immediately started bleeding.  They couldn't stop the bleeding, so they told me to take him to the ED right away.  They got someone to watch my students for the rest of the day.  Sam and I got in the car and headed to the ED.  On the way there, the bleeding had pretty much stopped, but we weren't sure if he would need stitches, so we still waited to be seen.  It took a long time to see the doctor and get cleaned up, but the cool thing was that they tied his hair together and just put glue over the wound.  He didn't need stitches after all.  It healed nicely, and now you can't even tell it happened.
