Back in June, towards the end of the month, we went to Sunriver to take part in the Pacific Crest Weekend. It's a weekend with all sorts of running, biking, and swimming events. We went with 2 other families. Each adult picks their own event to do. This year, Jeff did the 25K Trail Run on Friday morning, which actually ended up being around 30K when he was done. Later that same day, Sam, Daniel and Simon took part in the Kid's Splash, Pedal and Dash. Everyone did great!

Swim Lessons and Chapel
At the end of the school year, the 1-6 graders get to be driven by bus to a local parks and rec. for swim lessons. This was Simon's first year, and he (along with his brothers) enjoyed it a lot. It's really a nice thing that the school does for the kids.
Also at the end of the school year, Sam's class was in charge of chapel. His class did a cute skit about how to treat others nicely.

Visit from the Jones'
Back one weekend in May, we had a visit from our friends the Jones' visiting from Eugene, OR. We met them in the Gorge. We first stopped and visited Crowne Point. Then we drove to Horsetail Falls and did a hike there. Later we drove home and got pizza. It was a fun weekend!

May Happenings
In May, we had a bunch of things going on in a rapid succession. After Friday, May 12, when we celebrated Sam's birthday with friends from school, the next day, I ran the Hippie Chick 1/2 marathon. It was a cool and rainy day, but I set a personal best, running with one of the race pacers, so I was really happy with my time.
The next day, on Sunday, we celebrated Mother's Day with Jeff's family. We also celebrated Sam's birthday with his family as well.
The following Wednesday, the boys were involved with the spring music concert from school.
