Whistler Ski Trip Part 2

On the 2nd day of our ski trip, we went up to the top of the mountain.  The snow was much better up there.  At the top, we got a picture with the Olympic Rings.  To come back down off the mountain, we took the Peak to Peak Gondola from the Whistler side to the Blackcomb side and then skied down.

Whistle Ski Trip Part 1

Back in March, for Spring Break, we went to Whistler, Canada again to do more skiing.  The boys really enjoyed it last year, so we wanted to go again.  We drove up on Sunday, after I finished the Shamrock Half Marathon.  We got up there rather late Sunday evening.  We quickly went to bed and got up the next morning ready to ski.  We tried a couple of easy slopes first to remember what we'd learned from last year.  But the boys did great and were ready to move on to higher ground.  In the afternoon they took a private lesson, which really helped a lot.  Here's a look back.

Competition

Back in February and March, the Daniel and Sam were involved with some competitions at school.  Daniel competed in the cup stacking competition and then the Battle of the Books competition.  He did very well, but this year, didn't win anything in the cup stacking competition.  Daniel has won in the past, but not this year.  In the Battle of the Books, Daniels' team made it to the finals and won!  His team won for a second year in a row.  It was very exciting!
