CDA Trip

Early on in July, we took a trip to Coeur d'Alene to see my family.  The boys had fun taking a trip to see the Silver Mines in Kellogg.  We got to see our friends Camden and Keaton.  And of course we had lots of fun with our cousins!  While we were there, we also celebrated Daniel's birthday, since we were there only 1 week after his actual birthday.  We had a great time!

This year for Daniel's birthday, we went over to Jeff's parent's house and celebrated with family.  He asked his friend Siddanth to come with him.  Aunt Debbie, Aunt Cheryl and Uncle Todd were there too.  The boys swam and then we had lunch.  After lunch, he opened his presents.  Then the boys played and swam some more.  He had a nice birthday.  For his birthday, we bought him a new mountain bike.  He is very excited about that and enjoys riding even more now.  I can't believe my first born is 10 already.  Where has the time gone?  Where is that tiny baby boy we brought home from the hospital?  It all goes by so quickly, but I am proud of him and so glad he is growing healthy and strong.

Pacific Crest/Sunriver Weekend Sunday

Sunday was the day for the Triathlon.  Jeff, Brandon, Shelley and Heather left early to get to the start line of the triathlon.  John drove them up there.  It was a point to point course, so they had to go out to the start line.  After John came back to the house, we took the kids to a spot where the runners would go by and we stood to watch and cheer them on.  First, we saw Brandon, then we saw Jeff.  John stayed to watch for Heather and Shelley while I went to the finish line to watch Brandon and Jeff come across the finish line.  Soon, Brandon came across the finish line and Jeff was quickly behind him.  Brandon and Jeff did the Sprint Triathlon and Shelley and Heather did the Olympic distance Triathlon.  So it took a little longer for Shelley and Heather to finish.  We waited to see them finish, but then we had to head out.  Later that day Jeff needed to take Daniel to Big Lake for summer camp and I had to drive to Portland to catch a flight to Loma Linda for a week of meetings.

It was a great weekend.  I would love to do it again.
